AssetDropper is built with privacy as a core principle. We believe your vehicle depreciation calculations and data should remain yours - not ours.

Data Collection

We do NOT collect, store, or transmit your personal data or calculation information to our servers.

• All calculations are performed client-side in your browser
• Saved vehicles are stored locally in your browser using IndexedDB
• No accounts, passwords, or user authentication required
• No tracking cookies or third-party analytics scripts

What We Store Locally (In Your Browser)

The following data is stored ONLY IN YOUR BROWSER using IndexedDB and localStorage:

• Saved vehicles with purchase details (year, price, mileage)
• Calculation history (last 50 calculations)
• User preferences (default vehicle type, units)

You can clear this data at any time through your browser settings or our dashboard.

Analytics

We use Ahrefs Web Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics service that does not use cookies and does not track users across websites. This helps us understand general traffic patterns to improve our service.

API Usage

Our public API is rate-limited by IP address to prevent abuse. We log:

• IP addresses (for rate limiting only, automatically expire after 24 hours)
• Request counts (no calculation details)

We do NOT log the actual vehicle data or calculation parameters sent to the API.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Google Fonts - For typography (Font: Inter)
• Ahrefs Web Analytics - Privacy-friendly analytics

Your Rights

Since we don't collect or store your personal data on our servers:

• There's no data to request, export, or delete from our servers
• You have complete control over your browser's local storage
• You can clear all locally stored data through the dashboard
